Dr. Katie Daniels and Dr. James Betz provide patients with general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry to help them achieve the oral health they deserve. Trained in all aspects of dentistry, we work our hardest to ensure the comfort of every patient. Our number one goal is to provide exceptional dental care to you and your family.
Our patients and their oral health are our biggest priorities. We have experience treating patients of all ages, from young children to grandparents.
Dr. Katie Daniels lives in the area with her husband, Andy, and their three children — William, Emily, and Sarah. She graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2010 and went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.
Dr. Daniels has also pursued advanced training in dental sleep medicine through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She is passionate about helping patients improve their overall health and quality of life by achieving more restful, restorative sleep.
Building meaningful relationships with patients is at the heart of Dr. Daniels’s practice. She takes a personal and comprehensive approach to dentistry, understanding that each patient is more than just a set of teeth — they are a whole person with unique needs and goals. Her attention to detail, compassion, and genuine care reflect how much she loves what she does every day.
Outside the office, Dr. Daniels enjoys spending time with her family most of all. Whether they’re exploring the outdoors, cheering on her kids’ activities, or simply relaxing at home, family time is what she values most.
Dr James Betz is originally from Falcon Heights, Minnesota. He attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where he earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in biology. Dr. Betz continued his education and completed his dental training at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
Dr. Betz enjoys providing high quality dental care to all of his patients. His goal is to make each person feel comfortable in the dental chair through communication and individualized patient care.
When Dr. Betz is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys being outdoors especially on Minnesota lakes. He enjoys spending time in Grand Marais, MN on the North Shore of Lake Superior with his wife Kali. Dr. Betz also grew up playing multiple sports but his favorite was hockey. He currently enjoys tennis, fishing, traveling and watching sports.
Alissa began her career as a dental assistant, practicing for 13 years. She graduated as a dental hygienist from Century College in 2007 and then completed a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene with honors from Metropolitan State University. Alissa continued her education earning a certificate as an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist in 2020.
Alissa enjoys engaging with patients making them feel comfortable and cared for.
Alissa lives in the area with her husband, Mike. They have two grown children that they enjoy spending time with. Alissa has many interests including: her dogs and cats, gardening, boating and being “up north” at the cabin.
Steph and her husband, Chris, grew up in the New Richmond area. They moved to Amery, Wisconsin, where they are busy raising their three children.
When Steph is not busy watching her children play football, baseball, and hockey, you can usually catch her sitting on their boat or trying new recipes.
Crystal is a Nebraska native and lives in Woodbury with her husband, Brian, and daughter, Charlotte. She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2001 and has been practicing for more than 20 years. After several years living in the New York City area, she is excited to be back in the Midwest. Her favorite hobbies are cooking and traveling the world with her family.
Aimee lives in Lake Elmo with her husband, son and daughter. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2010. She loves the opportunity to live and work within the same community.
When not in the dental office she enjoys spending time with family, being outside, and yoga.
Chanteal began her career as a dental assistant after she graduated from Herzing University in 2019.
She resides in her hometown, New Richmond, WI, with her husband, daughter, and three chihuahuas. In the winter months you can often find her family skiing or snowboarding together at Trollhaugen.
What Chanteal loves most about her work is connecting with people – helping patients feel comfortable, understood, and cared for during their visits. Whether she’s meeting someone new or catching up with a familiar face, her warm personality and genuine empathy help make every appointment a positive experience.
Laura is originally from River Falls, WI and hasn’t strayed far. She currently resides there with her three kids. Laura has been in dentistry for 28 years, 5 of which she was a dental technician and 23 as a dental assistant.
In her free time, Laura enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
Kayla has been a dental hygienist for over 13 years and truly enjoys helping patients feel confident about their smiles. She takes pride in providing gentle, thorough care and taking the time to make each visit a positive experience. Building trust and lasting relationships with patients is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.
Outside of the office, she enjoys baking, adventures at the cabin, and spending time with her husband and 5 kids.
Meg grew up in White Bear Lake and now lives in May Township with her husband and two daughters. She began her dental career as an assistant after earning her degree from Century College and worked in that role for 15 years before returning to school to complete her dental hygiene degree in 2017. Meg loves getting to know her patients and helping them achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles.
Outside the office, Meg enjoys spending time in her garden, tackling home projects with her husband, and cheering on her daughters at hockey games and horse-riding lessons.
Monique has been a dental assistant for over 11 years. She loves working together with the team at Valley Ridge Dental to help patients feel comfortable and confident about their smiles. She takes pride in creating a positive, welcoming experience for every patient and enjoys building lasting relationships along the way.
When she is not at the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. Whether they’re relaxing at home or out making new memories together, family time keeps her grounded and reminds her why she loves helping others every day.
Nalee was born and raised in Saint Paul, MN. She graduated from Century College as a Licensed Dental Assistant in 2020. Nalee enjoys working with all ages and aims to deliver the best care to every patient.
Rachel lives in Oakdale with her son, Jack and daughter, Lachlan. When she is not at work, she is typically at a sporting event for one of her kids, visiting her parents in northern Minnesota or trying new restaurants.
Rhonda is an Iowa native who moved to Stillwater with her husband, Andy to be closer to their son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Her downtime consists of trying new recipes, reading a good book, and spending time with family.
Sara graduated from Century College as an assistant and worked assisting dental students at the University of Minnesota. She then advanced her career in hygiene, graduating from Herzing University. She enjoys getting to know her patients and educating them on their oral hygiene.
In her spare time she likes to spend time outdoors with her two young kids and dog, Ruby.
